The faces of etichetta.it: Marion Koch

Marion Koch tells us what her typical day is like as a production director and offers an exclusive insight: " Every day I gladly come to work at etichetta.it because I really love what I do."

Katharina Crusius2025-12-07

Who are you and what sets you apart?

My name is Marion Koch, I am 37 years old, and I love working in teams, with different people from different departments and with different skills. It is this variety that makes my job so challenging. I have a strong penchant for organization and coordination, so this role fully reflects what I do best. I am not afraid to make decisions or take on new challenges; on the contrary, they motivate me every day.

What is yourprofessional path?

After graduating from high school with a business major, I began my career by training as a graphic designer for digital and printed media, specializing in media design.
But I had a desire to grow further, so I decided to train as a media manager while continuing to work.
After my first parental leave, I returned to the company with a new assignment: to turn customer complaints into an opportunity for improvement. I began analyzing and documenting errors to optimize processes and make our work increasingly efficient.

After my second parental leave, I took a role in production management. Today I am in charge of order planning and supporting both the production department and the quality team in the most complex situations.

How did you come to etichetta.it?

In 2009 I started working as a graphic designer at Nilles Printing House and from there I followed every stage of the birth of etichetta.it. After finishing my studies, I felt the need to put my acquired theoretical knowledge to the test and finally gain experience in the field. It only took a short time to realize that the world of printing belonged to me much more than the world of traditional design.

What was supposed to be a passing experience has become a 15-year adventure. I had the privilege of helping create the logo and accompanying the birth and development of etichetta.it from day one.

What are you involved in today at etichetta.it and what is a typical workday like?

Within the production management, I am responsible for scheduling orders on our fleet of machines, setting operational priorities. In synergy with customer service, I coordinate deliveries and handle special customer requests. I am always available to support the production department, resolve concerns, make quality decisions, and provide operational information.

Thanks to my experience as a graphic designer, I am intimately familiar with graphic software: this allows me to check the quality of clients’ files and, if necessary, suggest more effective alternatives.
Working closely with those operating the machines, I can accurately assess the technical feasibility and visual impact of finishes on labels.

What do you like most about your work?

The variety of tasks and the freedom to make decisions. Each new technology brings with it challenges and opportunities, and I am not afraid to make mistakes: even from mistakes we learn.
But what really makes my work special is the team. We support each other and, over time, many colleagues have become friends.

… and label.it as an employer?

Every day I come to work with enthusiasm, because I can really make a difference here.
We are a group of very different people, but united by the desire to build something concrete. Everyone gives their best, bringing strengths and skills to the table.
Over the past few years we have built a strong bond, a true team spirit that helps us never lose sight of our goals and achieve them together.

What has been the most significant moment of your experience with etichetta.it so far?

There is no specific moment that stands out over the others. What really matters to me is the trust I receive every day. I deeply appreciate all the opportunities I have been given: from the chance to grow professionally without giving up my family, to the business trips that have enriched my journey from a personal perspective as well.
