Winding directions explained in a simple way
If you wish to apply the self-adhesive labels using an automatic labeling machine you will necessarily need labels on a roll. In that case, when placing your order online, you will have the opportunity to set all the roll specifications. In order to receive custom adhesive labels that you can work with on your machine, it is important to specify the direction of unwinding and output.
The winding direction indicates how the adhesive labels are to be wound during production. These can have the direction facing inward or outward from the winding. For this, the direction of unwinding can be:
- inside
- outside
The second key parameter for a labeling automatic labeling is the output direction, that is, which part of your label should come out first in the unwinding process. Thus, there are 4 different output verses:
- Foot output
- Head output
- Left exit
- Right exit
By combining unwinding and exiting you can have 8 different combinations. Look at the image below to be sure of the right unwinding and exit procedure that is right for you.
